Hi! I’m Sam, a Project Manager here at Orci. Though autumn is already here, the summer sun (especially here in southern California) and the need for sun protection isn’t going anywhere. These are some of my favorite suncare skincare tips.

Suncare Skincare Tips

#1 wear sunscreen every single day! Yes, even on WFH days!!
Wear sunscreen ALL OVER. The great thing is that the days of greasy, chalky sunscreens is in the past and there are lots of great options for sunscreens that feel light on the skin, are easy to reapply, and don’t leave a white cast on darker complexions.
Avoid mixing your SPF with other skincare or makeup products, it can compromise the SPF filters and you want all that sun protection.
Listen to your skin! What it needs today may not be the same as what it needs tomorrow.
- Unfortunately, my skin is more sensitive and acne prone as I get older than it ever was in my teens or 20’s but I’ve learned my skin loves hydrating, soothing, skin-barrier supporting products now more than ever.
Wear skin protective clothing as well – can be in the form of your favorite hats, a cute shawl to wrap over your shoulders, a beach towel to shield your skin and pat off any excess “glow” and “glisten” (shhhh, yes we know it’s sweat) and driving gloves to protect those beautiful hands!

Appreciation for Representation in Media

I’m increasingly grateful for the growing spaces for brown skin in the media. As someone who grew up not seeing a lot of representation for people that look like me in the media or television, I’m very appreciative of how much growth there’s been in the industry. I love seeing people of all shapes, sizes, and skin tones in campaigns and entertainment. I never get tired of seeing the wide range of beauty on my feed. I’m grateful to be in a field with increasing access and opportunities for people of color.

They specialize in Korean Beauty and Skincare and they offer “Skin Concierge” services where you can take their skin quiz and book a skin consultation to live chat with a real person about your skin concerns and get recommendations based on your skin goals! They also have a great rewards program, have great sales throughout the year, and they have amazing customer service which is always a plus in my book.
